It was Friday, and the children knew he was coming over. They were so excited. Today was the day, he's been planning this for months with them, making sure they knew what to do. She came in, and class started as normal. She was wondering why they were so excited, but she just wrote it off as him being there. They always get excited every Friday when he visits for some reason. Class came to a close, and he stood up smiling and signed to the children, "OK, it's time," then sat back down at the front of the class behind her. She turned around and gave him a puzzled look and asked, "Time for what?" He smiled wider and said, "Watch and see." She turned back to the children as they scrambled to their desks, book bags, everywhere they keep their stuff. They came back and piled into the center of the room in front of her, holding a variety of large letters, all from projects they did in the last few months. They arranged themselves into two lines, holding up their letters so together they spelled, "Heather will you marry me?" She turned around, tears in her eyes. He was on his knee at her feet, holding a ring out to her.

He was standing in a wide open meadow in late spring, marveling at the life all around him. Trees swaying in the wind, birds singing, it was beautiful. He was so happy. He turned around to look at the people behind him. Brandon, the best man, was right in front, smiling and crying and clapping. He smiled back, as all of a sudden the band started to play. He looked up, everyone turned around, and he saw her. Everything else, the meadow, the trees, the birds, the people, were all instantly forgotten, he could see only her. She was wearing a long lavender dress, lace in her hair and framing her face. It was simply the most beautiful, breathtaking sight he had ever seen. She started to walk toward him, over the white rose petals Alexandra had spread everywhere. By the time she stood beside him, he was in tears he was so happy. He looked over at her, and she was crying and smiling brightly as well. The person started, and everyone settled down. He tried to pay attention to him, but every few seconds he'd glance over at her, only to see her glancing back. They were both smiling the entire time. At the end they kissed what seemed like an hour, but it was only a minute. Afterward everyone got up and moved all the chairs off the meadow, turning it into a ballroom floor. He looked at her and softly kissed her hand. "Shall we dance, my love?" She smiled and said yes. He smiled back, then led her by the hand to the center of the meadow, and they danced until the sun was setting and almost everyone else had gone home.
